Problem

Copying this question over from Reddit, hoping to find an answer.

Here is the Original Reddit Post.

Having troubles finding the spring for the microwave: Image.

What I've Tried

  1. Checked LG Site: I have an idea for the part no, but no images on google or part diagrams to confirm the part no.
  2. Checked Sears: No part breakdowns or results from the Sears site.

Question

Can anyone confirm that MHY61966601 is the correct part number that matches the image?

Type: Microwave

Brand: LG

Model: LMV2055ST

Solution

Did some digging. I think that I can confirm that is indeed the correct part number. P/N MHY61966601

Steps to Confirm

  1. Visit the parts list for the model LMV2055ST. LG website.
  2. Located 2 different springs, that type of spring is indeed called a Spiral Spring. Went to the link, no image of course, BUT. There is a list of models it applies to. LG website.
  3. Saw if those models popped up on Sears to get a parts breakdown.
  4. LMHM2017ST/00 had a parts breakdown. Searched the part no. it is diagram number 3107. It looks like the spiral spring in the picture. No pictures from sears of the actual part though. However this proves the diagram image and location of the part in question. Diagram

Resolution

Please have the poster confirm if that is the spring in question. The part is no longer available on the site, I usually call Reliable Parts to confirm part numbers as well.
