What should I do when someone answers my question?
Decide if the answer is helpful, and then...
- Vote on it. Vote up on answers that are helpful and well-researched. Vote down on answers that are not. Other users will also vote on answers to your question.
- Accept it. As the original question creator, you have the ability to accept an answer. Pick the best answer that completely solves your problem. You can always change your accepted answer later as well.
Please do not add a comment on your question or answer to say thank you.
Comments are meant for requesting clarity or creating suggestions. Not for socializing. If you want to say "thank you", upvote their answer, and pay it forward by helping answer another user's question.
